About This Program

Delivered by Financially Empowered, Migrant Money Matters 2026 is a 3-week financial literacy program for women from diverse cultural backgrounds.  We understand that managing money can feel complex and unfamiliar; this program is here to change that. Together we will build the knowledge, confidence and skills you need to take control of your financial future.

Who Can Apply?

This program is for you if you are:

  • A woman aged over 18
  • From a migrant or CaLD background
  • Currently based in Western Australia
  • Available to attend during school hours

Our Cohorts

Cohort 1: In-Person

  • Start Date: 11 June 2026
  • Time: 9:15am – 12:30pm
  • Duration: 3 weekly sessions
  • Location: MercyCare, 4 Brewer Place, Mirrabooka, WA 6061
  • Catering provided by a migrant owned business
  • Childcare and interpreter support available upon request

Cohort 2: Virtual

  • Start Date: 23 July 2026
  • Time: 9:30am – 12:00pm
  • Duration: 3 weekly sessions
  • Format: Delivered via Zoom
  • Open to women living in regional & rural Western Australia

Do I need any financial knowledge before joining?

Not at all. This program is designed for all levels. We start from the basics and build your knownledge and confidence step by step.

My English isn’t fluent. Can I still join?

Interpreter support is available upon request during the application process. Sessions are delivered in easy-to-follow English. No technical jargon.

Is the program really free?

Yes, you will receive a 100% scholarship! This program is fully funded by the Future2 Foundation.

Can I realistically fit this into my life?

This program is facilitated during school hours to fit around your existing responsibilities.
