Having switched over to Xero accounting software this financial year, I was putting off learning how to use it properly and just getting by knowing the bare minimum. In truth, I was probably also a little scared to learn all things accounting.
Grace had the patience of a saint as she taught me how to manage my new business account structure. Not only did she teach me the software, but also implemented a very helpful and simple discipline in order to ensure that my business accounting requires regular ‘light-touch’ from me, rather than occasional ‘heavy loading’. Prior to working with Grace, I was conducting my own accounting which was taking hours of time that I barely had to spare. In addition, those lost hours fumbling my way around, I considered a waste of revenue-producing time.
Grace has now given me all that time back with a simple structure to stay on top of everything.
Thank you Grace, you truly have left me “financially empowered”.
Grace is committed to creating accessible opportunities for financial learning and growth for community members especially women and wished to build their financial confidence and literacy. The participants who attended the workshops were from Burma, Ethiopia, Egypt, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and South Sudan and many speak English as a second of even third language. The participants stated in their evaluation forms that they thoroughly enjoyed the workshops and learnt a lot.
Grace is very patient with the participants and facilitates workshops with visual aids and examples that make the information clear and meaning for the participants in regards to budgeting, saving, investing, setting target and goals and funding ideas for community projects. At the Women’s workshop Grace supported on of the participants who was experiencing financial and domestic abuse by her partner. Her patience, car and information allowed this participant to open up and empowered her to make positive change for herself and her family.
Girl Guides WA recently had the pleasure of working with Grace Mugabe at our inaugural Girl GuidesWA Leader Summit. Grace was a capable and engaging presenter. We found Grace to be a highly professional MC and an absolute delight to work with. It was very clear to us
that Grace had undertaken substantial planning and research on our target audience and, as such, was able to personalise the role. Grace is knowledgeable on event protocol and, most importantly for us on the day, she was flexible and able to adapt to a shifting run-sheet with ease. This ensured
we were successful in running a smooth event which our participants thoroughly enjoyed.
